SOCIAVI is a Latin word that means “share” and “unite”. This is the motivation behind the company and its products. We help aging adults and their families and caregivers continue to share moments and stay closer together, even across long distances.
Sociavi consists of three things:
  1. The Sociavi Companion App (available for iOS and Android). The app is used for the FMN (Family/Friends Member Network)
  2. The Sociavi C2M (Connect To Me) device will be located in the place of residence for the person using it. A member of the FMN will connect to this device from their smartphone.
  3. Currently the Sociavi C2M requires an electrical outlet and a WiFi connection or a hotspot to operate.
The Sociavi Companion app enables the Family/Friend Member Network (FMN) to connect with the person who has the Sociavi C2M device. The app is free and available for Apple and Android smartphones. The Sociavi Companion App lets the FMN easily and instantly do the following:
  1. Send pictures
  2. Send videos
  3. Send medication and event reminders
  4. Initiate live face-to-face real-time visits with the person using the Sociavi C2M device.
The person who creates the account is the Primary Connector and manages any additional family and friend connections by inviting others to join the network via email so they can connect with their loved one far, near and globally. They can also designate someone else to be the Primary Connector and take over this role.

The Sociavi C2M (Connect To Me) is the actual touch screen device that will be in the residence of the person using it. The Sociavi C2M is a very simple and secure device that helps aging adults connect with their family and friends.

The person with the Sociavi C2M will receive and can easily view photos, medication, event reminders videos and Sociavi live face-to-face real time visits from family and friends that are only a part of the FMN. The device’s landing page will always display the user’s Name, Date, Time and Weather which is integrated and pre-configured.

The Sociavi C2M Device was designed for aging adults who are “Non Technology Native”  or have limited technology experience. Studies have shown that certain technology requirements such as user ids, passwords, and emails and other options are overwhelming and confusing for some aging adults. The Sociavi C2M Device was engineered so the pictures, videos, reminders and Sociavi live face-to-face real time visits appear automatically, which keeps it simple for the aging adult who does not need to do anything. In addition, the Sociavi C2M Device offers the Sociavi Brain Fitness Programs. These are Specialized Programs for persons with memory care needs – for example, those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and consist of what we call the Sociavi 3 S’s: Stimulating, Soothing and Simple engaging and interactive activities. These programs can be accessible from the Sociavi C2M Device Touch Screen.

YES, using a very simple process. Once the device is plugged in to a power  source at the place of residence where the Sociavi C2M device will be used, you locate the WiFi network from the list that appears, enter the password, and you are ready to connect with your Family Member Network.

YES, the Sociavi C2M is a secure device. All the communication exchanged with the Sociavi C2M is encrypted, as well as all the communication exchanged with the free Sociavi Companion app. Moreover, this is a closed network where only the authorized family members and friends can contact or send content to the Sociavi C2M. In addition the Sociavi C2M will never have pop-ups or advertisements because it is a closed system.
NO. The Sociavi C2M is customized and pre-configured when shipped, and ready to be used upon arrival.
YES! The Sociavi C2M Device comes with external speakers.
Any member of the Family Member Networ (FMN) who would like to place a Sociavi live face-to-face real time visit, goes to their smartphone, opens the Sociavi Companion App and simply clicks the “VIDEO VISIT” button. On the receiving end at the Sociavi C2M, the person who initiated the visit from their smartphone will either pop up via auto answer on the Sociavi C2M or the device will ring until the user touches the screen to answer the Sociavi live face-to-face real time visit.
Here the Sociavi live face-to-face real time  visit is initiated by the actual person who has the Sociavi C2M at their place of residence. All the user has to do is touch the screen of the Sociavi C2M which will have the face Icons of the FMN. On the receiving end the person’s smartphone from the FMN will ring and the connection of the Sociavi live face-to-face real time visit will occur. The Sociavi C2M user is now connected to their  loved one simply, easily and hands free!
The Sociavi Companion App runs on any iPhone with iOS 10.0 or higher, and on Android smartphones with Android 5.0 or higher.
To check the iOS version on iPhone, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on General
  3. Tap on Software Update
It will show the version, indicate if the software is up to date or if an update is required. To check the Android version on an Android smartphone, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on About phone and check the Android version
To check if you have the latest version:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on System
  3. Expand Advanced
  4. Tap on System update
It will indicate if the system is up to date or if a new version is required.
There is no limit on the number of family members and friends in your Family Member Network(FMN). 
Currently, the Sociavi live face-to-face real time visits are one-on-one, meaning only one person that is part of the FMN and that has downloaded the Sociavi Companion app to their smartphone can have a Sociavi live face-to-face real time visit with their loved one through the Sociavi C2M.  Stay tuned, exciting things are coming in the future!
NO. The Sociavi C2M is global. As long as anyone in your FMN outside the USA has a smartphone and has downloaded the Sociavi Companion app, they can connect and have a Sociavi live face-to-face real time visit with their loved one.

The Sociavi Brain Fitness Programs are cognitive exercises and activities. These Specialized Programs consist of what we call the Sociavi 3 S’s: Stimulating, Soothing, and Simple engaging and interactive activities. These programs can be accessible from the Sociavi C2M Touch Screen. There are several categories, some categories have been developed to divert and calm down behaviors of people with memory care needs. Each category has several activities. In addition there are popular activities such as solitaire, word search, and jigsaw puzzles. Additional categories consist of preventative and  stimulating activities for cognitive functions such as attention, processing speed, cognitive flexibility and working memory, such as the Stroop Test.

Yes, it is! The privacy of our customers and users are very important to us and we take it very seriously.  The Sociavi C2M allows a designated registered  family/friend member to be the “Connector” who is responsible for inviting family and friends to make up the FMN (Family/Friend Member Network).  Our services are not of medical nature. Our services do not collect anything related to “Protected Health Information” (PHI), nor do we interact with any Electronic Medical Record System. Therefore, the HIPAA Privacy Rule that regulates the use and disclosure of PHI does not apply to our services or device. Sociavi uses commercially acceptable means to protect the very limited data provided by our users, including data encryption in transit, sensitive data encryption at rest and tight data access controls.
